Sophie-Lou's Pokemon Alpha Sapphire Wedlocke *UPDATE*
For the rules I am using for this particular Wedlocke, click below:
Journalocke: Pokemon Alpha Sapphire WedlockeIt has been ages since I did a proper Nuzlocke-style playthrough of a game. In fact I think the last time I did one was well over a year ago. I had initially hoped to do a Nuzlocke or maybe even a Wonderlocke of Pokemon Y when it first came out but I just wasn't feeling it. It was a brand new generation with new Pokemon that I wanted to try out. Every Nuzlocke I tried to begin I found myself being stuck with Pokemon I had already used or weren't new generation, which makes me feel like I was missing out.
Then came along the remakes of one of my favourite Pokemon games, Ruby and Sapphire. It was then I vowed that I would do a normal playthrough with one and Nuzlocke the other.
Interesting fact: Pokemon Sapphire was the very first Nuzlocke I ever did. It was about a year or so before I decided to do my recorded run of Pokemon Black, which has become my project Scarlett's Run (Comic turned Written Fiction storylocke) where I had just heard about the Nuzl

~ ADDITIONAL NOTES
We defeated Brawley with relative ease. I led with Miriel and Ricken, starting with the former and switching for the latter after we took out Machop. No close calls although I got a little nervous when Machop landed a Crit on Miriel just before she Confused it to death.
Mr. Briney took us over to Slateport City where I more or less immediately headed over to Route 110 for my encounter. The PokeNav indicated a Plusle and I thought, "Wynatt?" So we caught Kellam. This has actually made grinding without the EXP. Share fairly easy as by fighting Plusle I have been getting in 200+ exp per battle, which has allowed Cherche and Kellam to catch up considerably.
I have just fought off Team Aqua at the museum and will not proceed back towards Route 110 to fight some trainers and prepare for my rematch with Brendan. Slightly frustrating as I can't remember what Pokemon he has so I can't think which pair would be best to lead with. I'm thinking Miriel and Ricken if just because the former is so bulky. I suppose I could use Robin and Sully, but ultimately the fight would mainly be on Sully's shoulders... and I don't think she's "there" to be relied on yet as her movepool is much more sparse than the others.
My biggest threat is going to be his Marshtomp as I don't have any Grass-type Pokemon or moves.
Working progresses :P Also, Birthday.
So, it's my birthday on Sunday. In case some of the oldies who knew me back when are keeping score I still tend to get sad on my birthday.
I hadn't expected to get the second Val picture done because around 6pm it looked like this:
I actually tried to capture the whole process but I completely mucked up the screen capture process so I ended up capturing the wrong screen. Oh well, maybe next time.
Also, I'm working on a short origin piece for Zoe the Snivy (my semi-mascot around here). That's taking longer because I need to draw proper backgrounds again.
I have other bits and bobs lying around too but not sure what I'm going with them yet.
New name, new start.
I left DeviantArt for over a year.
Actually, I pretty much left most places on the internet. I'm only just getting back into it. I don't really want to go into all the details as to why as they are personal. The best thing to come out of that year-and-a-bit was that I actually managed to finish my Masters degree. Regardless, there was a lot going on and it has only been the last few months where I felt ready to get back into the things I used to do and enjoy.
Brexit and what it means to me
Hey, Sophie! Aren't you British?
Yep.
Got thoughts on the Brexit?
I guess.
Considering that I am British and we just had a potentially Earth-shattering, shaking and shocking referendum after which we opted to say "cheerio" to the broken dream that is the single-market of Europe. That is what the United Kingdom initially joined for, after all.
Twice we applied. It seemed like an absolutely amazing idea.
Then EU stopped being solely about trade/regulations and everything about an undemocratic big government. We found ourselves voting in MEPs to sit in the European Parliament and yet had no idea of what their purpose is. It seems the idea
Happy Day-After April Fools Day
I always skip the day itself because I never have a good prank to pull on anyone. One day I will think of a good one and trick you all, if only for a brief second. I'll take advantage of the time zone different between myself or my American fans or whatever.
Either way, let me quickly (and randomly) share with you all my favourite April Fools jokes from one of the channels I follow on Youtube. It's by JelloApocalypse and it is so good, you'll wish it was a real thing:
Got to admit that I love a good Abridged Series parody/episode/whatever.
Enjoy!
